The Sporting Clays Benefit

The Sporting Clays Benefit is held each spring. Hosted by the event steering committee, the shoot takes place at a local shooting range and typically begins with lunch and games prior to the tournament. Afterward, participants and volunteers enjoy snacks and beverages at an awards ceremony. Save the date for our 2019 tournament on Friday, March 22 at the Greater Houston Gun Club.

Proceeds from the Sporting Clays Benefit go toward the Barbara Cooney Teaching Fellowship Endowment. Named for a beloved retired Middle School history teacher, the fellowship provides a one-year training and mentored experience for teachers and coaches with high character and high potential.
