Your support raises valuable funding for faculty development, wish lists across all divisions/departments, and the Engineering Math Science program the School has hosted every summer since 1975 for under-represented youth in the Houston area. Additionally, this year’s proceeds will support a newly created department at the School focusing on student wellness and success. Past auctions have contributed to community service programs, educational student trips, technology upgrades, and equipment for the athletic and arts departments.
This year’s fund will support the newly created Center for Wellness and Student Success, which will provide more personalized support for all students and build individualized approaches for resilience. The Center, which will be led by a director but unified across all three divisions, will strengthen academic advising, learning support, and college counseling, and enhance professional development on these topics for faculty and staff. New age-appropriate programs will help to ensure every student at Kinkaid learns and is encouraged to practice habits that promote physical, emotional, social, and mental health. Taken together, these new programs will aid in the development of a profile of a successful and balanced Kinkaid graduate. Funds will allow the School to hire and support a full-time director and part-time leaders in each division and endow programs for students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni.
