2024-2025 Carpool


GRADE LEVEL, CARPOOL PICKUP TIMES/CAMPUS ENTRY TIMES

  • PK/K - 2:00 p.m./ 1:30 p.m.
  • 1st - 4th Grades - 3:00 p.m./ 2:30 p.m.
  • 5th - 6th Grades - 3:15 p.m./ 3:15 p.m. (students will be outside at 3:20 p.m.)
  • 7th - 8th Grades - 4:00 p.m./ 4:00 p.m.
  • 9th - 12th Grades - 2:50 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 3:30 p.m./ 2:50 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Please remember:

  • We are ALL IN! During construction, it is important that all drivers and pedestrians on campus be alert and flexible. Please note, the carpool process is different and also  some dropoff/pickup  locations are different. You are encouraged to review the carpool maps, available below.
  • The campus speed limit is 10 MPH and the garage is 5 MPH. 
  • Do not use your phone while driving in our school zones or on campus and please adhere to all signage. You will be stopped and asked to put any device away.
  • Carpool, dropoff, and pickup success depends on how efficiently the cars load and unload! Please be prepared to unload and load your children. There will be no waiting available - cars will be asked to circle if their student is not present at loading. 
  • Handicap (ADA) and RESERVED parking spaces are not “extra spaces.” You must have the proper decals in order to park in ADA parking. Your vehicle will be moved if it is blocking a restricted area.
  • Please register all vehicles that will be on campus in Veracross through the My Kinkaid Parent Page. On this page, there is a button to review and update your Contact and Vehicle information.
  • If you change vehicles during the school year, please remove the decal and place it on your new vehicle. If it becomes damaged, please contact your division to request a new one.
  • Please adhere to our traffic team’s directions at all times. It is for the safety of all individuals on our campus. 
  • Do not park your vehicle in any fire lane, crosswalk, carpool lane, or shuttle lane during carpool. This severely impacts the easy flow of forward moving traffic. Please ask a member of the traffic safety team for assistance if you are unsure of where to go or where to park.  Please be aware, we may need to alter carpool processes and/or routes for safety and efficiency.

Your student's health forms were due July 31! If you haven't filled out these forms, please do so now. 

Student ID numbers may be accessed in the Veracross system on the Parent Portal under the "My Children" tab. To view your student's ID number, simply hover over your student's photo on the left side of the screen. Parents may access only their individual student's ID numbers.

Week of July 29th - August 4th

  • July 29 -  (for Middle and Upper School) - Textbooks available for courses that require textbooks at BNC Virtual Bookstore / BNC Services (free shipping with a $59 purchase, through August 11).

Week of August 5th - August 11th

  • August 5 - School Offices Open

  • August 5 - Preseason Upper School Football, Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Cross Country practices start

  • August 6 - Preseason Boys Volleyball practices start

  • August 6 - Upper School Textbook Exchange opens, please see email from Alex Spencer for additional details.

  • August 7 - Preseason US Field Hockey practices start

  • August 8 - Pre Season US Cheer practices start

  • August 9-11 - State of Texas sales-tax-free shopping on school uniforms

Week of August 12th - August 18th

  • August 12 - Preseason MS Football practices start

  • August 14 - Preseason MS Cheer practices start

  • August 16  - New to Kinkaid Upper School Student Orientation for all new 9th - 11th grade students (8:30 - 9:45 am)

  • August 16 - Student Parking Registration for all student drivers (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

  • August 16  - Upper School Orientation for all 9th and new students (10:00 am - 2:30 pm)

  • August 16-18 - 9th-Grade Retreat (On-Campus Friday Night, Off-Campus Saturday and Sunday - Overnight)

    • August 16 (on campus) 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm

    • August 17-18 (off-campus - Stoney Creek Ranch Overnight) meet for buses at Saturday at 7:30 am and return Sunday at 12:00 pm

  • August 17 - 9th Grade Parent Party, off-campus evening event - invitation and RSVP link to follow (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Week of August 19th - August 25th

  • August 19 - On campus School Store Reopens 

  • August 19 - New Student Orientations (LS) (9:30 am Kinder-4th, PK 11:00 am)

  • August 19 - New Student Orientations (MS) details TBD

  • August 19 - Middle & Upper School Locker Set-up (9:00 am - 3:00 pm)

  • August 19 - Student Parking Registration for all student drivers (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

  • August 19 - Online School Store (OSS) opens for all 2024-2025 items via schoolstore.kinkaid.org

  • August 19 - Deans' Meeting with Senior Parents & Students (6:00 - 7:30 pm)

  • August 19 - Senior Kick-Off Car Decorating event for Senior Students (7:30 - 8:45 pm)

  • August 19-23 - Free Clothing Nook Event in Katz Performing Arts Center Balcony

  • August 21 - Class of 2025 1st Day of School Breakfast (7:30 am - 8:25 am)

Week of August 26th - September 1st

  • August 29 - Lower School Back-to-School Night
  • August 29 - 6th Grade Parent Coffee & Trip Meeting in Ogilvie Lobby (8:00 am - 9:30 am)

Week of September 2nd - September 8th

  • September 2 - Labor Day Holiday, No School

  • September 3 - 11th Grade Parent/Guardian Deans Meeting (7:00 pm)

  • September 5 - 9th Grade Parent Coffee & Meeting in the Ogilvie Lobby (8:30 am - 10:00 am)

  • September 5 - Middle School Back-to-School Night

  • September 7 - Upper School Musical: Disney's The Little Mermaid, Auditions

Week of September 9th - September 15th

  • September 10-12 - 6th Grade Overnight Trip to Camp Olympia

  • September 10 - 6th Grade Parent Party, off-campus evening event - invitation to follow

  • September 11 - Upper School Back-to-School Night (6:30 pm - 9:00 pm)
