Meet Our Head of School

Dr. Ed Harris is a well-known, highly respected educator and leader as well as a beloved member of our community. For two decades at Kinkaid, he has enriched lives with his intellect, teaching style, leadership acumen, unique business experiences, and passion for all things Kinkaid. Since being named the first Director of the L. E. Simmons Family Center for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Finance at Kinkaid in 2023, he has built it into one of the premier centers of its kind in the country.

Dr. Harris has served as a Government and Economics teacher, Chair of the Kinkaid Upper School History and Social Sciences Department, and a Falcons football coach. Before joining Kinkaid, he earned a PhD and taught at the collegiate level. In addition, he had a distinguished career as an attorney in private practice and as corporate counsel for nearly twenty years.
