Prepaid Lunch Program Information 2013-2014
The Kinkaid School is a cash free campus. Students make purchases in the school store and cafeteria using their student ID (Falcon Cards) and the Kinkaid on Account (KOA) service. At the end of each month, all store and cafeteria charges are posted in summary to the student’s billing account. Parents, Faculty & Staff can view details of all store and cafeteria transactions after logging into the Kinkaid on Account (K.O.A.) website.
Dates for cafeteria quarters for the 2013/14 school year are:
- 8/21-10/25, 10/28-1/17,1/20-3/21, 3/24-5/29
Lower school students eat in the Big Room located in the Lower School building. They may bring their lunch to school, enroll in the prepaid lunch program or charge their lunch on account. The cost to enroll in the prepaid lunch program is $200 per quarter. The cost to purchase a Lower School lunch on account is $5.75 per meal.
The school provides two daily lunch options for the first through fourth graders who choose to purchase their lunch from the school cafeteria.
Option 1: the daily “hot” meal, which includes an entree, a fruit, a vegetable, a dessert and milk or juice.
Option 2: a sack lunch option consisting of three sandwich choices, a fruit, a vegetable, a dessert and milk or juice.
Cash is not accepted in the cafeteria. Two payment options are available:
1. Enroll in the Prepaid Lunch Program
The prepaid plan is a great idea for students who plan to purchase lunch from the cafeteria every day. The cost to enroll in the lunch program is $240 per quarter for middle and upper school students. This will save students about $1 each day on the cost of their lunch.
The program covers lunch only; other cafeteria purchases such as breakfast and snack items may be purchased for an extra cost.
2. Make Purchases on Account
Students who do not enroll in the prepaid lunch plan may make purchases in the cafeteria using their Falcon card. The cost of a plate lunch is $6.75, and other items are priced a la carte.

These colors are a great way to demonstrate healthy food choices at lunch.
