About the After School Program

The After School program provides a fun safe environment for Lower School students to attend if they will be staying past School dismissal time. Students can engage in daily activities, special events, sports fun with friends as well as the older students can get homework assistance.

PK/K students enjoy their 2-3:00 hour with PK/K friends. Activities include an enrichment of story telling, arts & crafts, puppet theatre and creative Drama.  Pk/K students also get the opportunity to increase their awareness of Kinkaid by participating in on campus field trips to the Orchestra Room, Dance Studio, Band Room, Book Store, and Visual Arts exhibits.  The Performing Arts Children’s Theatre visits the PK/K After School room several times throughout the year.  While some PK/K dismiss from After School at 3:00 when their older siblings are dismissed, some PK/K may stay later up until 5:00.

You can register for After School quarterly or as a drop in.

The After School program also provides a variety of classes that foster the development of the physical, social, emotional, creative and kinesthetic components of the body and brain.  I encourage parents to take a moment to view the class schedules to see if one may be a good fit for their children!  Kinkaid After School does its best to meet the needs of its families.

Sincerely,
Carol Baumgarth,

Kinkaid Lower School After School Director
