News About Kinkaid
On Thursday, June 7th, Kinkaid wide receiver Macan Wilson made a commitment to play football at Northwestern University. Wilson has been a standout for the Falcons since the 9th grade. A two-way player as a freshman, Macan has been the primary receiver for Kinkaid’s high-powered offense. With Northwestern playing a similar style, you can rest assured that you will hear a lot from him as a Wildcat.
“There were a lot of factors that led to my choice, but, perhaps the biggest one was the opportunity to have elite academics and BCS level football together”, says Wilson. “It has always been my goal to play at the next level and walk away with a valuable degree. Northwestern provides me with that and more.”
A highly touted recruit, Macan had lots of choices. Wilson adds that respect for the coaching staff at NU played a significant role. The fact that Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald came to Kinkaid personally to recruit him showed Wilson the Wildcats level of interest. Other factors for Wilson included the chance to play football and baseball. Wilson plays center field for the Falcons and holds the all-time record for home runs.
A two sport star and well-respected student at Kinkaid, Macan Wilson has a bright future at Northwestern, but you will not want to miss the opportunity to see this star shine this season as a Kinkaid Falcon.
