Community Service News
Students from The Kinkaid School are encouraged to participate in one or more community service projects during the school year. Below are news items of activities that Kinkaid students are involved in Community Service & Community Outreach.
On behalf of the 2011-12 Kinkaid Habitat for Humanity Project, we are pleased to announce the construction of Kinkaid’s third Habitat home, in Milby Park, in Northeast Houston.
The Classes of 2012 and 2013 are spearheading this vast undertaking, from raising funds to raising walls. We are thrilled that the Middle School and Lower School are also participating, through specific fundraising events including “Change for a Change.”
Construction of this year’s house will take place primarily on Mondays and Saturdays in January 2012 during Interim Term. All members of the extended Kinkaid family are invited to lend a helping hand as well. Whether you help provide refreshments, raise a hammer, or kindly consider making a financial contribution, we encourage your participation in this very worthwhile project. Questions?
