Kinkaid offers excellence in programs—academics, fine arts, athletics—and facilities, but its experienced and talented faculty, recruited both locally and nationally, are the core of the school.  The faculty is committed to the highest professional standards, its work focused on the intellectual, personal, physical, and character development of children at the school.  For that reason, the faculty has developed and endorsed “Benchmarks of Excellence” for teaching at Kinkaid.  These benchmarks are the measure we use as we continually evaluate our work.

Because students learn best in environments where teachers continue to grow professionally, Kinkaid allocates significant resources to professional development and evaluates teachers in part on the basis of of carefully planned continuing educationTeacher reports on professional activities confirm their commitment to professional growth.
