Event Recap: What an exciting contest between two competitive teams! For the entire game both Kinkaid and Woodlands would trade goals and short scoring runs ending in a 5-5 first half battle. Fast forward to the second half, where we found ourselves down only 9-10 with 5:19 to play. Carolyn Dyer tied it up with a great feed from Mollie Gaylor and then Carolyn Dyer would score on a key free position with only 1:14 left, putting us up 11-10! Woodlands would answer back with a score of their own with 17 ticks left on the clock. Winning a key draw control, Tory Smith quickly outleted the ball to Mollie Gaylor who charged down and took a quick shot on goal. The ball bounced off the goalie’s pads where waiting Hannah Harrell scooped up a ground ball and quickly fired off the game-winner with only 2 seconds left to spare! Great team effort from defenders Allison Dyer, Christina Fondren, Seagren Wilson and goalie Savannah Friedkin's 7 saves. Let's keep it rolling with two more Division I TGHSLL games this week: Bellaire on Tuesday and Memorial on Thursday. Go Falcon Lax! | |
