The Capital Campaign

As our school begins Building Together, we embark on a new, exciting chapter in the transformation of Kinkaid’s 65-acre campus. Already one of the most beautiful, natural campuses of its kind in the country, Kinkaid begins exploring how the purchase of 25 acres on its western border in 2010 will transform the entirety of our campus for tomorrow.

THE TRANSFORMATION BEGINS

Kinkaid is primed to begin the transformation with The Dining & Learning Center, a state-of-the-art dining hall with innovative learning spaces, and a parking garage. These elements are foundational for what is still to come. The early improvements to our campus will have a far-reaching impact on students, families, faculty and visitors to our campus. The changes will begin in the coming months.

THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

And, they are at the heart of BUILDING TOGETHER, Kinkaid’s Capital Campaign. BUILDING TOGETHER is an opportunity for those closest to Kinkaid — our families and supporters — to help raise the funds to begin the building of these critical foundational changes to our campus as well as to create an endowment to provide maintenance for the new structures. And, with the generosity of some of our earliest donors, we are well on our way to achieving the goal, $28.3 million. But to achieve it, we will need every family to participate at whatever level they can – this is about the early transformation of our campus and our children’s future.

LOOKING AHEAD

Kinkaid continues to work on a Master Plan for the entire campus. The plan likely will include a new campus entrance, an outdoor learning center, practice fields, a field house and eventually a new upper school. However, any new construction will not be feasible until the parking garage is in place. After that, the School may conduct smaller, targeted fundraising efforts for some of these improvements to the southern half of the new property. The construction of a new upper school and an accompanying capital campaign are at least five years away.
