Boys Cross Country Program Philosophy

The Kinkaid Cross Country program is designed to accommodate and guide athletes of all levels and abilities to a greater knowledge and understanding of Cross Country. While every student is welcome and there may be many valid reasons for participation, striving for improvement must be on everyone’s list. Each team member's consistent, disciplined hard work will foster an environment that encourages growth. Participants who are able to commit to this rigor will undoubtedly develop character traits that will aid him in future endeavors. The coaching staff will commit to preparing well-conceived training plans that are based on experience, as well as current scientific research. Since running is such an individualized sport, training plans will be specific to each athlete.
