Financial Aid Information 2017-2018 School Year

General Information :

- All aid is based on demonstrated financial need; consequently, parents of candidates must file a confidential financial statement that includes disclosure of tax information.

- Kinkaid does not grant academic, athletic, fine arts, or any special interest scholarships.

- All financial aid information is held in the strictest confidence.

The purposes of Kinkaid's financial aid program are:

- To enroll capable, talented, and deserving students who would be unable to attend without financial assistance.

- To increase economic diversity within the student body.

Deadlines:

- For new students applying for admission to Kinkaid for the 2017-18 school year, the financial aid application and supporting materials are due on February 28, 2017. Your application for financial aid for Kinkaid on SSS by NAIS will close at midnight on February 28, 2017 and late or incomplete applications, which includes required documents, will not be accepted or considered by the committee.

- For students re-enrolling with Kinkaid, the application and required materials are due by March 10, 2017.  Late or incomplete applications may not be considered by the committee.

The financial aid application process consists of:

- The Parent's Financial Statement. This can be completed and submitted at the National Association of Independent Schools (N.A.I.S.) website, http://sssbynais.org/parents. Kinkaid's school code is 4416.  The 2017-18 application will be available in early November 2016.

 - A copy of your signed 2016 federal tax return including all schedules and W-2 forms. Please follow the instructions on the SSS web site to upload the documents directly to SSS by February 28, 2017 for students applying for admission and March 10, 2017 for students re-enrolling with the School. Please do not forward a paper copy of these documents directly to The Kinkaid School.

- If you own a business, please complete the "Business/Farm Statement" on the SSS website.

- Parents, who are separated, divorced, re-married, or have never been married, must each separately complete the Parent's Financial Statement and provide a copy of their 2016 tax return.

- Current families must re-apply annually for financial aid.  The deadline for completing the Parent's Financial Statement and providing the 2016 tax documents for current Kinkaid families is: March 10, 2017.

The school's financial resources limit both the number and size of Kinkaid's financial aid grants. Timely application and attentiveness to the application procedures are essential. Late applications and supporting documents may not be considered by the Financial Aid Committee.
